Let's face it there are millions of square feet of bad gypsum underlayments out there. What subcontractors installed in the 1980s and 90s has now presented a flooring problem for building owners and contractors alike.
How can we help? Can we fix this problem, and if so, how long is the fix going to last?
Ultra Quiet Floors has solutions for gypsum floor repair problems, including:
- Tear out & Re-pour the existing failed gypsum underlayment with a new pour that is a higher PSI (pounds per square inch) product, and possibly add a mesh, which comes with a 10-year warranty.
- Skim coat the existing worn gypsum underlayment with an acrylic modified slurry/skim coat, which includes a limited warranty.
- Total Stabilization: Bulletproof your deteriorating, problem floor with our total stabilization process. Our system offers a 10-year warranty, uses water-based (friendly) epoxies and single component urethanes or polymer-modified cements to completely solidify the damaged underlayment areas, possibly the entire floor.
- Two major advantages of the Ultra Quiet Floors' total stabilization process are the quick turnaround time and minimal impact to the project. With our total stabilization process, most flooring can be applied within 48 to 72 hours. There is no need to tear out and re-pour the gypsum underlayment, which usually incurs an average delay of 10-14 days for the material to cure and flooring to be applied.
